My two cents:

Simon Davidson’s photography not only captures the spectacles of speed and mechanical horseplay…his images present intimate contexts of subcultural celebration, turbulence and achievement. Davidson’s genuine approach to photographing this subject matter conveys a warmth and closeness that heightens…dare I say it…the beauty in each of his images.
